Now knowing that we don’t give out Christmas gifts to the immediate family, (only brothers, sister, and her) my irritating mother got a gift anyway this year. While we were out a few weeks ago, (on the day she irritated me beyond belief), I was shopping with my friends and her. She went on and on and on about how she had bought herself a new Wii game system and how it would be sooooo nice if she had the extra parts to go with it.
Well, I ended up paying for two remotes and a CD with 9 games on it. I just heard yesterday from another party that she’s not keeping the Wii game system. She’s planning to take it back to the store and all of its accessories. Now if I’m guessing right here and I believe that I am, I think she’s going to return my gift and get money back off of it too or at least get a gift card.
Sure, we've all returned Christmas gifts before, so what, it happens.
But why in the hell do people nag you about what Christmas gifts that they want so badly, and then when you finally buy it for them they then take it back to the store?
Yeap, just one of her spiteful actions again. She knows there’s no gift giving and when she gets one anyway, she still has a complaint. You know if it isn’t one thing it’s another.

A gift given to someone is something special and it means much, it has an importance even if you don't think about it. With such great expectations the person has
gifted it to you and returning it meaning you don't care about his/her feelings. Just imagine what the person might be feeling... I don't have any advice but I can understand you, this
happens sometime and please, don't mind. Even if she takes the money and buys herself another gift, it'll be from you because with that money she got another thing 
Just forget it as a small incident because you pleased her in some way 
1Thanks *saynogirl*. I don't mind her getting another gift wit the money, like you mentioned. It's just that she went on and on about it inside the store until I bought it. I think she did it because she knows that even though we don't give out gifts to certain adults, we always sneek and get my father a gift anyway without telling her about it. Father gets his before Christmas day. And she got jealous again. We like to buy for my father because he appreciates the gift and he never takes it back. He feels like you said, it's special and means something because we chose it. It was because of my mother that we decided that we'd cut the gift giving to certain adults in the family.
I can't stand it when adults are not appreciative on Christmas day. If I don't like a gift that a friend gave to me, I just don't say anything negative. I do say thank you with a smile. I understand that some people are just awful at gift giving anyway.
I still haven't spoken to my mother but if I do again she won't play that game on me. I'm sticking to the rules next Christmas and not buying anything.

3We all know someone like this. They only want something that others have for a short time and then they get bored with it. They shouldn't ask for gifts at all.

5I'm not fan of those special holiday gifts,of any gift of any kind...in my family we don't buy gifts anymore. I mean,the only gift for us is when we're all together and when we say "Marry Christmas" to each other....but anyway,the only thing that matters-if you got a gift,you have to be thankful and appreciate it just because of it's meaning and the person who gave you that gift....I hate when someone doesn't buy,or doesn't receive a gift from a heart and with respect for another. I say,just keep your thoughts for yourself if you don't like something
